7 tips to save water at home

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), an average of 100 liters of water per day is spent per person in Spain. You can save water at your home and contribute to maintain our planet's resources following these tips:

1. Do not leave the tap open when it is not necessary

Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, shaving or soaping in the shower. Those seconds can save many liters of water.

2. Take advetage of the cold shower

While you wait for the hot water, you can fill a bucket and use that water to scrub the floor or water the plants. 

3. Shower instead of bath

A basic tip that can save up to 50% water.

4. Water the plants in the morning or at night

Take advantage of the hours of less heat and less evaporation to water the plants. They will thank you!

5. Make sure the tap close well and do not drip

You can lose up to 5 liters of water every month because of drop-by-drop.

6. Use appliances efficiently

Do not operate the washing machine, dishwasher or other similar appliances if they are not full.

7. Better the dishwasher than hand wash

We spend much more water than we think washing the dishes by hand. With the dishwasher, we save water and time!
