• What is the lifespan of a pump?

  It is estimated a lifespan of 20 years with a proper maintenance.

• When should a pump be replaced?

  You should always contact the Technical Service and they will be in charge of deciding whether the pump should be replaced or can be repaired.

• How can I detect a pump failure?

  When the water pump fails it becomes evident by the great hydraulic disagreement it causes. The first obvious signs will be the dicrease pressure and/or flow drop, water leaks, random load loss, etc. Any unusual  noise will signal that the pump does not work optimally so we recommend contacting the Technical Service to confirm the failure.

• How much warranty time does a pump have?

  ESPA offers up to 3 years warranty in Europe for products sold from 01.01.2022. 

   

   

• What does the electric power of a pump mean?

  The power of a pump is the power consuming of the system necessary to operate.

• How do you know how much a pump consumes?

  It is indicaded on the data sheet as P1.

  

• How many kW is 1 HP?

  1 HP is 0,736 kW.

• Can hydraulic perfomance vary depending on the liquid?

  Yes, depending on the liquid the hydraulic curve could vary.

• How do you go from l/min to m³/h?

  It must be multiplied by 0.06.

• What is the hydraulic curve?

  It is a graph that indicates the operating range of the pump according to the discharge and pressure.

• Which is the highest performance point of a pump?

  In the central area of the operating curve.

• What is a pressure drop?

  Pressure losses caused by friction with the pipe and the accessories of the pump. In this link are specified the pressure drops. 

• How is the friction loss calculated?

  The friction losses are calculated using the load loss abacus. The load losses are specified in this link.
